David Badella joins Peter Pan at Grand Opera House

Double Olivier Award-winner David Bedella joins cast of Belfast’s Grand Opera House pantomime, Peter Pan!

Belfast’s Grand Opera House has announced that double Olivier Award-winning actor David Bedella will join the cast of Northern Ireland’s biggest Pantomime, Peter Pan. David will star as pantomime’s ultimate baddie, Captain Hook, in the show which opens on Saturday 2 December 2017.

David was awarded his first Olivier Award – ‘Best Actor in a Musical’ in 2004 for his role in Jerry Springer – The Opera.  Last year he again picked up the coveted Olivier Award, this time for ‘Best Actor in a Supporting Role’ in the Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights.

David has performed in leading roles in a number of West End smash-hits including The Rocky Horror Show, Sweeney Todd and Chicago. He last performed on the Grand Opera House stage in 2015 as Roger De Bris in Mel Brooks’ The Producers.

David joins the cast of Peter Pan alongside Northern Ireland’s Queen of Panto May McFettridge as Mrs Smee, Coronation Street’s Claire King as the Magical Mermaid, and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Paul Burling as Smee.
