Lee Rogers releases Dark Notions EP
After recording solidly for his upcoming album, Lee Rogers has taken a handful of his more deviant and twisted songs and grouped them together for a new 10” Vinyl EP Dark Notions
“I don’t like the idea of songs sitting silently on hard drives; these songs were written to be heard. I kind of like that they don’t fit with anything else other than back to back together on their own EP”
Just announced as the support to fellow Northern Irish songwriter Foy Vance on his USA tour. May 2022, Lee is gearing up for the release of his eagerly anticipated new album Gameblood.
“It has been a whirlwind 18 months getting back in the saddle and releasing music again after so much time away from it. For this project I wanted to hark back a bit to the excitement of holding a piece of music in your hands, reading sleeve notes, taking in the artwork and looking at something other than your phone while listening. There is so much missing from the whole listening experience these days. I still love the ritual of pulling a cd case open, or putting the needle arm onto the record on the turntable, and I really think this EP and its content lends perfectly to that ritual”
