Highlights of the Ulster Orchestra 18/19 season.

Four Last Songs, with the world-renowned soprano Dorothea Röschmann. This is part of the Association of British Orchestras’ Annual Conference, which is being held in Belfast for the first time in 20 years. This concert requires a huge orchestra and over a hundred players from across Europe will take to the Belfast Waterfront stage on 24 January – it’s going to be epic!

I Love the Movies! concert on the 27 October in Belfast Waterfront – this year with a spooky theme for Hallowe’en. It’s always a popular night, celebrating smash hit films like Psycho, Jaws, Harry Potter and Gremlins.

There is a fantastic Festive series in Belfast Waterfront, including the special family-friendly performances of:

  • The Snowman on 1 December
  • Handel’s miraculous Messiah on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 December
  • The Magic of Christmas on the 19 December
  • Vienna! on 4 January. Vienna! celebrates the enchanting and ornate world of Strauss and would make the perfect Christmas gift for the music lover in your life.

The Lunchtime Concerts Series allows retirees, office workers, students and anyone else who might be curious, the chance to enjoy the Ulster Orchestra perform in convenient, 45-minute sittings. All tickets for the lunchtime concerts are £7.50 and can be paid on the door. The series started on Thursday 20 September with Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, best known from the score to Walt Disney’s Fantasia. This year’s Christmas lunchtime concert takes place on Thursday 13 December and always sells out – so book early!

A full series of regional concerts is scheduled, taking in Ballymena, Derry~Londonderry, Omagh, Enniskillen, Armagh and Cookstown, giving local audiences a chance to catch the power and spectacle of a full symphony orchestra on their doorstep.PREVENTIVE MEASURE One must on line levitra insure complete avoidance of certain products which would lead to on a negative side.

The fortnightly Friday concerts in the iconic Ulster Hall are the backbone of the Orchestra’s programme, with world-class soloists and guest conductors throughout.

  • 30 November returns to the Composers and the State theme, with Shostakovich’s devastating Symphony No.8.

All in all, a packed and varied first half of the 2018/19 season.
